This tour will take you back in time to 1940 and the BATTLE of BRITAIN. From July to December 1940 death rained from the skies onto London. The bombing raids were intended to crush the fight out of Britain, instead they inspired a new spirit in the population, the spirit of the BLITZ.
We will see the sites and remains of war torn London, where the first bomb fell, the tunnels that became shelters for the masses, and the secret underground government tunnells. Follow Churchills footsteps around London, see where Eisenhower stayed whilst in England and view notable war memorials to men women children and animals. Your guide will have authentic ration books and newspapers of the day to look at together with photograghs of buildings as they looked after being bombed, compared to how they look today. We even have favourite wartime songs to sing along to (if you wish ). This is a very family friendly styled tour.

OPTION 2. Day long London tour. Visit with your guide the Cabinet War Rooms and Imperial War Museum. In both places your guide will escort you around explaining the exhibits to you. Day tour £425.00

This tour can include visits to the Kent Battle of Britain Museum at Hawkinge, the nearest fighter station to the enemy, Dover Castle, the WW2 command post, hospital and spotter site, and Capel le Fearne, the Battle of Britain memorial plus the London sites.
